Attumen the Huntsman
From xenowiki
Attumen the Huntsman is the first boss in Karazhan. Upon clearing all the trash leading up to this boss, you should be able to see his horse, Midnight, standing alone. You must actually hit Midnight to begin this fight.

Abilities
- Shadowcleave--Attumen deals 3000 to 3500 shadow damage to anyone standing in front of him. Stand behind him if you don't want to be hit.
- Curse--Every once in awhile, Attumen will curse a random player. The curse reduces chance to hit by 50%, so it's imperative that you keep this cleansed. Attumen's tank can use spell reflect and turn it around on the Huntsman. Rogues can use Cloak of Shadows to get rid of this debuff.
- Charge (when mounted)--In the last phase of the fight, Attumen will mount Midnight and charge one ranged player for approximately 4000 damage. Heal that person as quickly as possible..
Strategy
Phase 1
You will need two tanks. The MT (the tank with the best gear) tanks Attumen, the OT tanks Midnight. Have the OT pull Midnight to begin the fight and immediately ramp up threat. Midnight should be tanked slightly to the right side of the open circle, as you want to avoid pulling the mobs in the next section. Melee and ranged DPS should follow shortly after the OT gets aggro. Wail on Midnight until he hits about 95%, at which point he will call for his master. It is important for DPS to keep track of threat, because you definitely don't want to get aggro.
Once Attumen has spawned, the MT must get aggro QUICKLY (recommend a hunter Misdirect where possible) and pound on him off to the side. Both tanks really need to keep thunderclap, demoralizing shout, etc. up on both bosses. Attumen's tank can and should keep him disarmed in order to mitigate damage. Decursers should watch for Attumen's debuff and keep it cleared.
Kill the horsey. At 25%, Attumen mounts Midnight, wipes all aggro, and leads you into...
Phase 2
STOP ALL DPS. Allow the MT to gain aggro, then start DPS. Healers: watch for Attumen's Charge attack, and quickly heal whomever he hits. Decursing should continue. Thunderclap, demo shout, disarm, and other damage mitigation should continue. Attumen isn't any MORE powerful, but he isn't any less either! Reserve one healer for raid healing, and put the rest on the MT.
From here on out, it's "tank 'n' spank" until you achieve victory and delicious treasures.
