K.R.A.M. (Karazhan Raid for Alts and Mains) - Discontinued
What is KRAM?
K.R.A.M. is a Karazhan run open to all...mains and alts alike. This Karazhan Run for Alts and Mains (KRAM 'cause Sromkie likes to drive you nuts with acronyms) will run every week that there is enough interest.
Beginning Saturday January 12th, 2008, KRAM will no longer appear on the guild calendar. There will be a standing run that will occur every Saturday at 12:30 PM Server Time (assuming that there is a balanced group interested). Invites will be on a first come first serve basis. To put yourself on the list simply be online between 12:00 and 12:30 PM Server Time and whisper the Officer (or Lieutenant) who announces the run with the following command:
WL Add
Why do we need KRAM?
Many xeno members still need to gear up in Karazhan so that they can participate in the more demanding content. However, we do not always have enough mains available to fill key roles, such as tanking and healing. We have decided that it is time to utilize the skilled Alts in a xeno guild PUG to help supplement the Karazhan raid group to ensure that our all of our members have a shot at participating.
What are the rules?
Mains: Main characters that are interested in KRAM can add themselves to the wait list beginning at 12:00 PM Server Time. They get priority for the roles they can fill (class balance still comes first). Raid spot priority applies at the time the raid is forming, once invites are done, ALTs will not be forced to leave if a Main is interested in joining. Mains also get priority over alts for gear upgrades. That does not mean that a main character Mage will be able to roll on a Rogue dagger just because it looks cool, but they will receive a spell-power weapon before any alts do. Note: Priority on gear upgrades only applies to your current spec (unless your current spec is temporary to fill the needs of the raid; in this event, you would receive priority on items for your current spec and your normal spec). However, a Fury warrior, who is a main, would not receive priority on a tanking item if that warrior did not respec Protection for the current run.
Alts: Alts who are keyed (and relatively geared) for Kara may also add themselves to the KRAM waiting list beginning at 12:00 PM Server Time. However, they may be passed over for main characters and they must understand that gear upgrades will occur only if a specced main character does not need the item.
We hope that KRAM will be another opportunity for new members and those who have not yet been to Kara (or at least not on a regular basis) to raid with xeno and start accumulating the gear that will help us defeat the various bosses we face in our progression runs.
xeno Member-Run PUGS
In addition to the regular raids and progression raids managed by the officers, a few new categories of events are available on the guild calendar. A few people that are interested in running farm raids like Karazhan or fun stuff other than top-level raids will be able to add them onto the calendar. Initially Wrathgar and Prista will manage these runs. Anyone is free to sign up for these runs and talk to them about days they might like to see such events on the calendar.
These runs appear in a smaller font.
