All Raiders

The following mods are required for raiding with xeno.

  • CT_RaidAssist or oRA: helps us in raids by allowing us to run group votes, Durability checks, resistance checks, and much more.
  • Omen: This mod keeps track of your level of threat as compared to other players. It is most essential for boss fights. Everyone has to have it for it to work to its full potential.

Raid Leaders

The following mods are required for leading a raid with xeno.

  • Boss Mods - Either Deadly Boss Mods or BigWigs: These boss mod add-ons provide raid warnings applicable to various encounters. Raid leaders can set the mods to announce warnings to the raid, or just display on their screens. Warnings can be set by individual boss ability.
  • Natur EnemyCastBar: this mod has many settings for monitoring DoTs, HoTs, Cooldowns, and casts. However, the most important feature to our current raids is the boss trash respawn timers that it provides. When you begin clearing trash that is linked to a boss, a respawn timer for that boss's trash displays on your screen. When the boss goes down, the timer is automatically removed. This will allow raid leaders to more easily plan boss attempts and re-clears.

xeno Suggested Mods

The following mods are not required, but are suggested.

All Players

  • ScrollingCombatText: A fairly simple but very configurable mod that adds damage, heals, and events (dodge, parry, windfury, etc...) as scrolling text above you character model, much like what already happens above your target. This makes it so you do not have to watch (or use) your regular combat chat window.
  • SW Stats: SW Stats is a damage/heal (and more) meter addon designed to be very customizable in what you want to see with a built-in Sync channel that is running in the background. The design here is especially geared towards raid groups, but also has useful info for soloers.

A Unit Frames mod. Some suggestions include:

  • Ag UnitFrames: A unit frame addon, written using object oriented development techniques from Ace2. It applies its layout from a theme table, allowing for great flexibility for users wishing to customize their unit frames.
  • PitBull: PitBull is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for creating unit frames. It is based on Ace2 and other libraries of the Ace community.
  • X-Perl UnitFrames: Another popular unit frame option. It's Perl, with Extra stuff. Much enchanced from Nymbia's Perl UnitFrames, and a complete replacement for Blizzard's default unit frames, including raid frames and raid tools, with little remaining of the original Nymbia code.
